Showings, Screen Time & Snack Breaks: Summer as a Work-from-Home Realtor Mom

Let’s be honest—working from home during the summer sounds dreamy until you’re trying to take a client call while your toddler is yelling for a juice box… or your kid is suddenly “starving” in the middle of your Canva session.
As a young realtor who’s also a mom, summer break doesn’t exactly come with a PTO plan. But it can come with a little more flexibility, a lot of grace, and some real-time-saving tools (shoutout to Content2Close 😉).
If your home is currently doubling as an office, daycare, and snack station—this one’s for you.
1. Lower the Bar (and the Volume, If You Can)
Some mornings I’m up at 6 a.m. knocking out social media posts before the chaos begins. Other days? I’m building Instagram captions with “Bluey” playing in the background and a kid on my lap. Neither day is more “productive” than the other—they just are.
Summer doesn’t mean your business takes a break, but it does mean your routine might need to bend a little.
2. Content2Close = your Content Virtual Assistant
The templates, captions, and branding tools have honestly saved me so many hours. I can drag in my listing photos, plug in the details, and have content scheduled before my iced coffee melts.
And honestly? When I have 30 minutes while the kids are watching a movie, I don’t want to be stressing about writing a caption from scratch. I just want to hit “post” and move on.
3. Include Them (Even If It’s Just Pretend)
My daughter loves “helping” me pick colors for flyers or “practicing” my open house walk-throughs. It’s chaotic. It’s adorable. It’s kind of the whole reason I do this.
If you’re a mom (or big sister, cool aunt, dog mom—whatever your version of “home chaos” is), it’s okay to show up as you are. Let your clients see the real you. It’s one of your biggest strengths.
4. Work-Life “Balance” Looks Different in Flip-Flops
There are days I crush it—get my content done, run a showing, and still make it to the splash pad before dinner. And there are days where I answer DMs with wet hair and cereal on my shirt.
It’s all part of it.
The freedom real estate offers is why so many of us jumped in. And while summer can be a juggle, it’s also a reminder of the life we’re building—on our terms.
Final Thought:
If you’re building your dream business and trying to make it through the day without hearing “Mommmm” 47 times—you’re not alone. You’re doing it. It might be messy, but it’s also magic.
Let Content2Close handle the content grind so you can focus on being both the boss and the bedtime story reader.
Now go refill that iced coffee (again). You’ve earned it.
